When a student comes in who is not ready to be evaluated as required by MVA, Rookie Driver Skills Log. The Instructor will return you back to the school so you can gain the practice needed to pass the BTW evaluations as indicated by MVA curriculum.
BELOW IS ALL OF THE INFORMATION YOU NEED TO UNDERSTAND WHAT IS REQUIRED OF YOU TO PASS THESE EVALUATIONS. IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY TO ENSURE YOUR READINESS.
DO NOT SCHEDULE A TWO HOUR EVALUATIONS IF YOU ARE ONLY READY FOR 1 OF THE 2 EVALUATIONS.
1 HOUR EVALUATIONS WILL ALLOW YOU TO GAIN THE EXPERIENCE NEEDED WITH YOUR DRIVING COACH OR BOOK A PERSONALIZED LESSON TO BE SUCCESSFUL AND A SAFE DRIVER. There will be a fee of $50.00 for the 2nd hour if brought back to the school due to the student's inability to handle the vehicle for the evaluation being reviewed effectively 7/25/2022.
EVAULATIONS ARE AS FOLLOWS AND IN THIS SEQUENCE.
Evaluation #1 - Basic Driving Skills
Evaluation #2 - Driving onto the highway (light neighborhood traffic)
Evaluation #3 - Driving in Moderate highway traffic
Evaluation #4 - EXPRESSWAY DRIVING
Evaluation #5 - Review of any maneuver graded less than a 3
Evaluation #6 - Preparation for your MVA Driver Skills Test

Driving schools are not responsible for making you proficient in driving. Our responsibility is to evaluate your progress as it pertains to the Maryland Rookie Driver Log. Positions Explained
Driving Coach - The Driving Coach (anyone over the age of 21 who has held a Maryland license for a minimum of 3 years) is responsible for helping you gain the driving practice needed to progress from lesson 1 through 6 with your Driving School Instructor, who is responsible for evaluating your progress and reporting it based on MVA grading standards.
Driving Instructor - Responsibility is to evaluate your progress during your behind the wheel evaluation as it pertains to the Maryland Rookie Driver Log. You are allowed 6 lessons in total. To grade you on the maneuver and teach it at the same time will reduce your grade and you must receive 80% in order to pass.
MVA Drivers Test Examiner - Is the person at MVA who will pass or fail you when you take your driving skills test. MVA will determine if you will receive your provisional license or not.
