Driver Improvement Program or Safe & Sober: Final Exam In-Person Appointment Thank you for completing the Maryland State online Driver Improvement Program (DIP) or Safe & Sober Program! The next step is to take your final exam to receive your certificate of completion. In-Person Exam Appointment: The exam will be delivered digitally via your email confirmation. We’ll submit your completion to the MVA within 1 hour of passing and mail your certificate. What You Need: Valid Maryland-issued ID (e.g., driver’s license, learner's permit, or provisional license, passport, etc). Online Program Completion Certificate. What to Expect: Payment: Pay online when scheduling for faster service. Confirmation Email: You’ll receive a confirmation email with instructions on how to send your documentation ahead of time and check in for your appointment.
